Decorating: My Top 8 Shops for Budget Friendly Decor

Second to fashion, interior design is one of my biggest passions. I take forever to make choices when it comes to my own home and often volunteer myself to help decorate my friends' places. Obviously I invest in furniture and pieces that will last forever but I also like to keep my place current with affordable trendy accents. Today I'm sharing my top 8 places on the web for affordable home decor!

Clockwise from top left.
1. Overstock - Do not overlook this site! Though it can be overwhelming, take the time to search for specific items using the search bar. Some of my favorite key words are: lucite, acrylic, ikat, Morrocan, trellis.
2. Furbish- The brainchild behind Jamie Meares, Furbish offers a ton of affordable decor in addition to amazing investment pieces like funky reupholstered furniture.
3.  Design Darling- A lifestyle blogger started this online shop earlier this year and I love her carefully curated assortment of finds, especially these bookends.
4. Wayfair- I first stumbled upon Wayfair when looking for a headboard, but the site offers so much more.
5. Ikea- Ikea never fails. I have been pleased with several pieces of furniture purchased from Ikea and I love collecting their barware and napkins which are updated frequently.
6. 20x200- This site has an amazing collection of affordable artwork and a great business model, offering a limited amount of prints at different price ranges.
7.  Zara Home- Finally! Zara Home is available in the US online! Talk about home accessory overload. They boast a great collection of "basics" in addition to fun barware, classic china and a plethora of pillows.
8. Target- Target has a huge assortment of home goods - and even more online. Be sure to watch for capsule collections and designer collaborations (I always wait until they go on sale).
